The Inca Empire
was the most vast in the Americas before the european invasion, and at
its peak was quite large even by world standards. The city of Cuzco was
its administrative, political and military center. The Incas used
conquest and peaceful (if cohersive) assimilation to incorporate the
many nations that they subjugated including most of modern Ecuador,
Peru, Bolivia, Argentina, and Chile.
